Terms and Conditions
Effective January 1, 2026
Bedrock Winston-Salem Concrete Company, winstonsalemconcretecompany.com, hello@winstonsalemconcretecompany.com
Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of this website and any work you hire Bedrock Winston-Salem Concrete Company to do. By browsing our home page or any other page here, asking for an estimate, or booking a job with us, you agree to them.
If you don't agree, please don't use the site or book work with us. If something here is unclear, ask us before the job starts so nothing comes as a surprise later.
What we do
We're a concrete contractor in Winston-Salem, NC, and we work in the cities around it. Our work includes driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, garage floors, retaining walls, footings, foundations, and decorative and stamped concrete. You can read more about our crew on our about page.
The descriptions on this site are general. The exact work on your job, including slab thickness, finish, size and layout, is whatever your written estimate or contract says.
Estimates and pricing
We give free on-site estimates, and there's no pressure to book. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure on the day we visit, and it stays open for the period written on it.
Some things only show up once the old concrete is out or the ground is dug, like soft or wet subgrade, which is the soil the slab sits on, buried roots, old fill or hidden pipes. If we find something that changes the work or the price, we stop, show you, and get your OK before doing anything extra.
Prices or figures mentioned on this website are not a quote for your job. Only a written estimate from us is.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We give you a start date when you book, but concrete depends on the weather, so dates can move. We won't pour in rain, on frozen ground or when conditions would leave you with a weak slab, and we'll tell you as early as we can if we need to shift your day.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us as soon as you know. If we've already ordered materials, dug out or set forms, you may owe for that work and those materials, as your written estimate or contract states.
After a pour, the new concrete needs time to cure, which is the wait while it hardens and gains strength. We'll tell you when it's safe to walk on and when it's safe to drive on, and you agree to keep people, pets and vehicles off it until then.
Payment
Your written estimate or contract sets out what's due, when, and how you can pay, including any deposit before work starts. Unless it says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is finished.
If a payment is late, we may pause further work until it's settled, and you may be responsible for reasonable costs of collecting what's owed, as North Carolina law allows.
What we need from you
You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area and to tell us where you know of property lines, septic systems, irrigation lines, buried wiring or anything else under the ground. We can't be responsible for damage to lines or features nobody told us about and we had no reasonable way to see.
You're responsible for making sure the work is allowed on your property, including any HOA approval. If your job needs a permit, check with your local permit office, and your written contract will say who is responsible for getting it.
What to expect from concrete
Concrete is a natural material, and some things are normal for it. Fine hairline cracks, small changes in color between pours, and slight texture differences in a broom finish, the light grooves we drag in for grip, are not defects.
We cut control joints, which are planned grooves that give the slab a straight place to crack, so cracks follow lines we chose instead of wandering. That limits cracking, but no contractor can promise a slab will never crack.
Our work can be affected by things outside our control, like ground movement, tree roots, water runoff from gutters or neighboring yards, deicing salts, heavy equipment and loads beyond what the slab was built for. Damage from those isn't covered.
Our guarantee and warranty limits
We stand behind our work. If something isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it and make it right where the problem comes from our work.
Any written warranty we give is the one in your contract, with the terms and time period it states. Beyond that, and to the extent North Carolina law allows, we don't make other warranties, written or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Information on this website
We try to keep this site accurate, but the information here is general and may change. It isn't engineering, legal or permit advice for your property, so don't rely on it in place of an estimate or a conversation with us.
Links to other websites are there for your convenience. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for what's on them.
Limits on our liability
We're licensed and insured. To the extent the law allows, Bedrock Winston-Salem Concrete Company isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost use of a driveway during curing, lost income or inconvenience.
Our total liability for any claim about a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing here limits liability that North Carolina law doesn't allow us to limit.
If we disagree
If you have a problem with our work or a bill, call us first, because most issues get sorted out on site. If we can't settle it that way, we both agree to try in good faith to work it out, including through mediation if we both choose it, before going to court.
Any lawsuit about these terms or our work will be brought in the state courts in Forsyth County, North Carolina, unless the law requires a different place.
Governing law
These terms, and any work we do for you, are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its rules on conflicts of law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies. The terms in your signed contract apply to your job even if this page changes later.
If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
