About our concrete contracting crew in Winston-Salem

We build driveways, patios, slabs and foundations in Winston-Salem and the cities around it. We put the most care into the ground and forms under the concrete, because that decides how it holds up.

Why we build concrete this way

  • Taught to reset forms

I learned concrete under a strict old-school boss. If my forms weren't right, he had me tear them out and set them again until they were, and he used to say a good finish can't save a bad pour. I started this business in Winston-Salem in 2013 with that rule, and I still run every job by it.

  • How we work today

Homeowners call us for driveways, patios, walks and steps. Builders and property owners call us for slabs, footings and foundations. Either way, I come out myself to look at the job and write the estimate, so the person who prices your work is the one who answers for it.

Our crew lead runs the work on site with our finishers. Before any concrete is ordered, I check the base and the forms myself, because once the truck pours, that work is buried and there's no cheap way to fix it.

The values behind our work

These come from how I learned the trade, and they shape how we price your job, build it and talk to you about it.

  • Ground dug and packed

We dig out and pack the subgrade, the ground your slab sits on, instead of raking dirt level, because loose dirt settles and takes the concrete with it.

  • Drainage checked first

Before we set forms, we check where the water runs, so the finished slab sheds rain away from your house instead of pooling against it.

  • Joints cut on time

We cut control joints, shallow grooves that give the slab a planned place to crack, early enough that any crack usually follows the line we chose.

  • Estimates you can compare

Every free estimate lists what's included, like tearing out the old concrete and hauling it away, so you can line it up against other quotes.

How we treat every job

  • Straight talk first

If your old slab has to come out or the ground needs more work than you hoped, I tell you plainly and explain why before we get to price.

  • Base before finish

When a budget gets tight, I'd rather trim the finish than the base, because nobody sees the base on day one, but it decides whether the slab settles.

  • Pours timed around heat

We plan pours to stay out of the worst midday heat, because concrete that dries too fast can leave a weak, dusty top that wears early.

  • Permits handled for you

When your job needs a permit, we apply and line up inspections. For most of Forsyth County that's the Winston-Salem Inspections Division, but not inside High Point, Kernersville or King.

  • Licensed, insured, guaranteed

We're licensed and insured on every job, and we make you one promise. Your satisfaction, guaranteed.
